Albert morrison

Originally hailing from the Blue Mountains Australia, Sam "Albert" Morrison currently resides in Melbourne. He is a multi-instrumentalist within his own music, playing the guitar, bass, drums and singing primarily. Albert is best known for his bass playing and has played bass with acts such as Jesse Valach, Buckman Coe, Saritah, Dub Princess, Kooyeh (of which he was a founding member), Dubcraft, and Jimmi Carr. Currently he is a member of the Jace XL and Silent Jay band.

Whilst playing with Kooyeh, he toured the east coast of Australia several times and wrote half of the music on Kooyeh's debut effort "Soul Cleansing". Since his departure from Kooyeh, Albert Morrison has come into his own as a solo artist. His 2018 debut EP "The Perfect Curve" sees him blending his love for finger-style acoustic guitar with a more modern jazz approach and orchestration.

Aside from his musical projects, Albert works at the Maton guitar factory and has a Certificate 4 in instrument making. Two of the guitars featured on the new EP are guitars he built as part of this course.
